The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario is an administrative tribunal responsible for the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Part X of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA). Under these acts, the Information and Privacy Commissioner, Tribunal and Dispute Resolution Division resolves access to information appeals and complaints and investigates privacy matters. Knowledge
Demonstrated qualifications include:
Interpersonal and Relationship Management Skills
Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, management and both internal and external clients; ability to work independently and as a team member.
Analytical, Research and Project Management Experience
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to plan and conduct extensive research and prepare written reports, evaluations and recommendations; ability to identify risks and barriers during mediation/investigations.
Communication and Presentation Skills
Well-developed oral communication skills; strong written communication skills to prepare reports and decisions; experience using standard computer software applications to research and prepare materials.
Preferred Asset Qualifications
Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in French.
