A telecommunications company is seeking a Network Analyst/Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must have expertise in Cisco networking, routing protocols, and DOCSIS technology. Strong documentation and problem-solving skills are essential. This position involves supporting network engineering teams and contributing to network transformation efforts in Brampton, Canada.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Network Analyst/ Engineer for our telecom client.
Candidates must have experience working with Cisco networking, Cisco Routing and Switching and sound knowledge of Routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP.
3 to 5 years’ experience in network engineering and documentation
Knowledge of networking hardware, including routers and switches. Working experience of Access Network preferable DOCSIS Technology
Working experience in IP based network (Router, Switch, DHCP, DNS, IP Management)
Knowledge of IP, including TCP, UDP, NATing, OSPF, and BGP
Working Experience of programming, scripting (C, C++, Java, Python, Shell)
Expert level capabilities within the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel and Visio
Ability to support a team of network engineers and client accounts in the network transformation effort.
Strong requirements gathering and documentation of network environments.
Working familiarity with DOCSIS/ HFC technologies, including cable modem provisioning and CMTS operations
Understanding of DHCP, IP addressing, and subnetting (CIDR, routing basics). CCNA level networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, switching routing and basic network troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving skills, Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning
