A leading space technology firm in Peel Region, Brampton is seeking a Sr. Customs Analyst to ensure compliance with customs regulations, provide advice on trade matters, and support risk mitigation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of trade laws, with over 5 years of experience in customs roles. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $80,000 - $100,000 annually along with comprehensive benefits.

The Role:
The Sr. Customs Analyst’s primary goal will be to ensure that the company complies with customs, regulations and policy to minimize risks of non-compliance and to explore and implement all duty/tariff relief mechanisms. This requires monitoring, maintaining and communicating policies and procedures, regular review of policies and procedures, and research in connection with customs matters, including the determination of the correct customs classification codes (HS codes) for exported and imported goods. It also requires keeping up to date with customs rulings and determinations, anticipating changes in applicable laws, regulations and policy, as well as determining the applicability and eligibility of duty drawbacks and dealing with temporary exports and imports. Working closely with the Trade Compliance and shipping teams, the Sr. Customs Analyst will act as the main point of contact for all customs related matters.
Having experience and knowledge in country-of-origin determinations, free trade agreements, and Export Controls will be a key success factor. This position plays a key role in supporting trade compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
