They provide guests with their requested room, address their needs, and resolve any complaints they may have throughout their stay. Responsibilities may include:Process telephone callsProcess group arrivals and departuresRegister arriving guests and assign roomsProcess guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive paymentTake, cancel, and change room reservationsResolve minor guest complaints and refer to Hotel Manager or Front Desk Supervisor as requiredRefer major guest complaints to Hotel Manager or Front Desk SupervisorBalance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related formsProvide information on hotel facilities and services, and local points of interestArrange services required for guests with special needsProvide information regarding room status and special guests to other departmentsLearn the Emergency Response Manual thoroughlyLearn the Night Audit procedures.Perform related Front Desk duties as directed by SupervisorWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?:Previous guest facing / recepionist experience or education an assetNeat and clean in appearance and work habitsPleasing, outgoing personalityKnowledge of languages is considered an assetAbility to accept directionSolid understanding of guest service principlesGood communication skillsKnowledge of computers, will trainTyping skills an assetAbility to work within a TeamWhat will your work environment be like?:Beautiful.
