Ammunition Technician CAT 2 - Safe Storage & Transport Lead
Job summary
A leading Canadian defense contractor is seeking an Ammunition Technician in Meaford, Ontario. This role involves managing ammunition logistics, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and requires a minimum of four years' experience in a military or civilian capacity. Candidates must possess the necessary certifications and be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within a critical operation.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as a military or civilian Ammunition Technician.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other equipment.
- Valid class G driver’s license and ability to obtain military driving license.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, storage, issue, and disposal of ammunition.
- Inspect and prepare ammunition for distribution.
- Maintain accurate supply documentation.
- Conduct periodic inspections and store items safely.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations for handling explosives.
