The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Dr. Ahun's research focuses on the mechanisms through which the parental mental health and parenting impact early child development. The incumbent will contribute to Dr. Ahun's research activities. They will also work on the BUNDLE study which aims to test whether early childhood development is improved by a bundled set of interventions that promote responsive stimulation and improved feeding integrated into existing infection prevention and treatment activities of the health system in Liberia. The incumbent will contribute to various research activities within the BUNDLE study including training data collectors, developing study protocols, preparing intervention materials, cleaning and analyzing data, and contributing to manuscript preparation. They will report to Dr. Marilyn N. Ahun.
Bachelors Degree
Field of Study: Public Health, Health Promotion, Global Health, Psychology or other related field.
Other education considered for this position: Masters degree.
1-2 years of previous research experience.
Status: Temporary full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $41,550.60 - $62,353.20, commensurate with education and experience.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Work Site: 5252 Maisonneuve.
