Job summary
A private household in Toronto is seeking a Child Caregiver to provide comprehensive care for infants and children. You will manage daily routines, supervise children, and perform light housekeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will hold a high school graduation certificate and have some experience in child care. Provide comprehensive care for infants and children in a private household setting.
- Change diapers, sterilize bottles, and prepare formula.
- Assume full responsibility for the household in absence of parents.
- Perform light housekeeping, cleaning duties, washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
- Bathe, dress, feed infants and children, and prepare them for rest periods.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
- Organize activities, games, and outings for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Supervise and care for children, including taking them to and from school and appointments.
- Tend to children’s emotional well‑being.
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in child care.
- Criminal record check required.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Can work early morning, morning, day, evening shifts.
- Transportation provided.
- Public transportation available; travel expenses paid.
- Optional accommodation live‑in at no charge (not a condition of employment).
