Overview

Provide comprehensive care for infants and children in a private household setting.

Responsibilities
  • Change diapers, sterilize bottles, and prepare formula.
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping, cleaning duties, washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
  • Bathe, dress, feed infants and children, and prepare them for rest periods.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Organize activities, games, and outings for children.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Supervise and care for children, including taking them to and from school and appointments.
  • Tend to children’s emotional well‑being.
