A health services provider in Winnipeg is seeking a Health Care Aide for their Home Care Program. The Health Care Aide (HCA) works in a variety of settings including community (clients’ homes, assisted/supportive living), health care centers, and hospitals. The HCA assists clients/patients/residents with activities of daily living, providing direct care with the goal of supporting independence while providing comprehensive care and treatment.
Under the general supervision of the Manager or designate, the HCA assists clients/patients/residents with activities of daily living, providing direct care within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check are required as conditions of employment. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Interviewed candidates may be called upon to participate in a skills assessment.
