Senior Business Analyst
Job summary
A technology solutions company in Toronto is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to lead key projects. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in business analysis, proficient in Agile, Scrum methodologies, and skilled in conducting JAD sessions. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in data analytics solutions. The position offers a hybrid work model requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, contracted for 9 months.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience with Business Analysis.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficient in Business Rules and User Stories.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
- Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in project settings.

Must Have's:
- 8+ years experience with the following as a Business Analyst with experience with the following:
- Experience with Agile, Scrum methodologiesand/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficient in conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and brainstorming workshops for large web-based applications and data analytics solutions.
- Skilled in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, business rules, use cases, and user stories.
- Demonstrated experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a large project setting
- Writes user stories using standard formats
- Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), MS Teams, Azure DevOps.
