A public service organization in Ontario is seeking a Gas Fitter to install and maintain gas heating units and related components. The role involves measuring and marking reference points, repairing appliances, and ensuring safety compliance through testing and adjusting mechanisms. Candidates must have a Gas Fitter Trade Certification and experience in various challenging conditions, including confined spaces. This position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Qualificações
- Valid driver's licence required.
- Gas Fitter Trade Certification is mandatory.
- Experience working in confined spaces and handling heavy loads.
Responsabilidades
- Install gas heating units and their components.
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment.
- Install and maintain meters and regulators.
- Prepare tenders and quotations.
- Repair and service gas appliances.
- Study drawings and specifications.
- Test and adjust control mechanisms.
- Estimate costs and materials.
