Job summary

We’re looking to hire SIGINT Geospatial Analystsfrom diverse backgrounds to work in a dynamic and innovative operational environment. We’re looking for passionate people who will thrive working in an open-minded environment and value the different perspectives of others.You’ll be working in a high-paced operational environment within a multidisciplinary team.

As a SIGINT Geospatial Analyst, you’ll manage and implement geospatial projects, provide geospatial solutions, and deliver complex analytical products to a wide array of internal customers.You’ll work closely with intelligence analysts, their teams, and decision-makers to provide expert geospatial advice. Your work will involve in-depth spatial analysis on different issues using a variety of data types.You’ll also research geospatial topics, explore and apply new technologies, techniques, and initiatives. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and train other analysts who are integrating geospatial methods into their own work.

We’re looking for people who are excited to learn and grow. You’ll deepen your understanding of telecommunications technology and analytical tools while collaborating with technical experts across CSE. Through training and mentoring, you’ll develop and strengthen the skills required to support operational efforts on matters of national security.

Conditions of employment

A valid Enhanced Top Secret (ETS) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

Essential qualifications

In order to be considered, your cover letter must clearly explain how you meet the following education and experience requirements :

Education

• A university degree in Geographic Information System (GIS), Geomatics, Geography
• A bachelor’s degree in any field along with a diploma or certificate in GIS.

Note : The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.

Experience

Creating and sharing spatial data.

Note : For the purposes of this hiring process, “recent” is defined as experience having normally been acquired within the last five years.

This external selection process can take up to 12 months and is more comprehensive than that of many other organizations. You’ll have to complete a combination of assessments, including but not limited to various testing, interview, and security clearance processes. During this selection process, rescheduling assessments will be limited because this can create significant delays in processing applications.
