On a Core Flex Truck:
The ACP provides immediate treatment and transportation of sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities. ACPs operate within the knowledge and scope of the Advanced Care practice, as well as provide leadership throughout each shift using specified educational training. The ACP is responsible for decision-making, leadership, and safety of the ambulance throughout each shift. ACPs work alongside PCPs and EMRs daily and provide a reliable and dependable insight throughout emergency medical situations.
Due to the nature of operating in the public eye, a high level of professionalism, communication, and knowledge is always expected. The ACP is required to conduct themselves in a safe and discreet manner, with the responsibility of conduct justification to patients, family members, hospitals staff, management, public agencies, legal court, and more. As an employee of MHS, you are accountable to our patients, coworkers, and management by supporting all safety-related initiatives, as well as fostering a culture that focuses on patient safety and a safe workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Alberta Operators License class 1, 2 or 4.
Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
Current registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics, if applying to Lloydminster Positions
Completion of Alberta Health Services MCP's
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Certified in and maintains CPR certification
Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
Current registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (Lloydminster only)
FARE Certificate Required
