Working with a distinguished Board of community leaders, the CEO will drive the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive roadmap for economic development across the region, with emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

1. Developing and executing strategic plans that leverage ongoing economic development initiatives while prioritizing initiatives that ensure equitable access to opportunities for all members of the community.
2. Positioning the region as a preferred destination with a diverse workforce and a forward-thinking growth agenda in a globally competitive, knowledge-based economy.
3. Acting as a principal relationship developer with businesses, public institutions, and other key stakeholders in the region.
4. Setting priorities, creating performance metrics, leveraging and allocating resources, and promoting continuous learning within your team.
5. Supporting efforts in business retention, small business start-ups, and overall economic growth for the region.
6. Ensuring a collaborative and inclusive environment within Invest WindsorEssex and across the broader community.

1. An accomplished leader experienced in working with Boards, government representatives, corporate decision-makers, and community leaders.
2. Excellent communication skills, with a track record as a compelling speaker and presenter.
3. Experience in economic development, likely gained through roles in large municipalities, government agencies, Boards of Trade, or marketing-driven organizations.
4. Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholder communities.
5. Ability to thrive in complex, changing environments and demonstrate leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
