General Manager | Site Head - Emergent BioSolutions - Winnipeg Lock Search Group, a leading executive search firm specializing in Life Sciences, has been mandated by Emergent BioSolutions to recruit a General Manager (Site Head) for their Canadian manufacturing operations site in Winnipeg. This critical leadership role will oversee strategic and operational performance across drug substance and drug product manufacturing, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance while driving growth and operational excellence. We are seeking a proven biopharma manufacturing leader with deep expertise in biologics or aseptic operations, strong financial and P&L acumen, and a track record of success leading large-scale, regulated manufacturing sites. Proven track record as Manufacturing Site Head/experience as a General Manager is a MUST.

• Must have past experience in overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery.


• Must have CDMO operations experience as well as proven technical leadership in technology transfer, process improvement, and operational excellence.


• Must have proven track record in leading Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.


• Must have experience in Optimizing Cost of Goods (COGs) through effective cost control, lean principles, and workforce management.


• MSc / PhD preferred in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.


• 15+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing leadership is required; biologics or aseptic experience preferred.
