Job summary
A skincare company located in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Sales Manager to oversee staff duties, handle merchandising tasks, and resolve customer issues. Candidates should have a high school diploma and some experience in a leadership role. This permanent position involves approximately 30 to 35 hours of work per week, primarily in English.
Qualifications
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Assign sales workers to duties.
- Hire and train staff.
- Authorize payments and returns.
- Order merchandise and establish work schedules.
- Prepare sales reports and resolve issues.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
Education
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Authorize payments by cheque
- Order merchandise
- Authorize return of merchandise
- Establish work schedules
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory
- May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties
- Supervise staff
- Perform same duties as workers supervised
