Overview

Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week

We are currently seeking an Animal Care Attendant at our Saint-Hyacinthe site. The successful candidate will report to the Farm Manager. Their primary role is to perform operations related to the physical well-being of the animals and the maintenance of their environment. You will be willing to work weekdays and weekends according to the established schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Feed the animals
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the yard
  • Report abnormalities, injuries, heat events, and any other observations
  • Support activities requiring the presence of a veterinarian or animal health technician
  • Unload hay and bedding and transport them to the appropriate locations
  • Carry out animal movements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or other relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Observation skills and problem solving
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity an asset
  • Experience driving a farm tractor an asset
  • Experience operating a Bob Cat skid steer loader an asset
