What you’ll be doing
As a Director, Liquidity, Non-Trading & Stress Testing, you will assist the Senior Director of Liquidity and Funding, with second-line risk oversight . You will stay abreast of policy and regulations and effectively articulate key risks across several areas of coverage to senior management. Areas of focus include, funding and liquidity risk, FTP, capital, structural rate risk, intraday liquidity risk, policy, regulatory requirements around liquidity and funding; among other things. You will cultivate a broad knowledge of the bank, including a deep understanding interrelation of strategic decisions on key risk factors. You will coordinate and evaluate analysis done by our team and will prepare and present information for senior stakeholders in Treasury, Risk Management, and various lines of business.

How you’ll succeed
Applying liquidity, structural interest risk & stress testing expertise – You will cultivate and apply broad knowledge of the bank, including a deep understanding of the interaction between Liquidity, Funding, Balance Sheet management, and key regulatory measures.
Representing the team – You will collaborate with team members, other Risk groups, Treasury stakeholders, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables to a number of internal CIBC groups, including senior committees that span Risk, Treasury, and Business domains.
Investigation – You will lead investigations of liquidity models, interest rate risk models and, stress testing models along with key assumptions, with respect to daily businesses. You will keep track of open questions, follow through with other stakeholders, and circle back to make sure your team can integrate your findings.
Who you a re
You can demonstrate experience. You have minimum 6 years of varied experience in areas such as Risk Management, Treasury, and/or Finance. You can explain financial concepts to others and have done so in your prior work. When you look at the term of assets and liabilities, and forecast future cash flows, you’d know how to explain the assumptions you used. You are familiar with making visual representations of concepts and data. It’s an asset if you’ve had to work with multiple kinds of financial stakeholders simultaneously.
You can demonstrate knowledge. You have strong knowledge of financial instruments such as interest rate products.
You have a degree. In Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, and/or related field.
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
