Compensation: $60k - $65K per annum, depending on experience. Plus, a comprehensive benefits package along with Atira's matching Pension contribution plan.

About the Job:
The Intermediate Accountant will report to the Finance Manager or their designate by being responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including collaborating with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves assisting with internal and external audits and providing financial advice to support the organization’s decision-making processes, performing month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, vendor accounts reconciliations and intercompany transactions for the corporate head office, Record and process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections, Manage general ledger entries and reconciliations, including intercompany, bank, and Visa card reconciliations, Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and controls, Assist with tax filing and prepare necessary documentation for compliance, Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, and a minimum of three to five years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably in property management. You are a detail oriented with hands-on Payroll & Benefits experience as well as experience coaching and supervising payroll and benefit staff.
Additional Requisites/Assets:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• Professional certification such as CPA designation required or working towards completion.
• Proficient in accounting software (Sage 300 & Yardi) and advanced Excel for financial analysis.
• Experience as a corporate accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting
• principles.
• Manage intercompany transfers
• Knowledgeable in tax regulations and experienced in tax preparation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments
