Job summary
A leading project management firm in Dubai is seeking a seasoned project manager with over 20 years of experience in programme and contract management. The ideal candidate will lead complex planning projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations while efficiently engaging with clients and stakeholders. Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English are essential. Candidates should be willing to relocate temporarily to Oman for project duration. Qualifications
- Min. 20 years relevant experience in programme and contract management.
- Experience in client and contractual management and stakeholder management.
- Experience in administering contracts for large scale planning projects.
- International experience in development planning, preferably in the Gulf region.
- Experience in implementation of master plans.
- Experience in project leadership, fee collection, and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage project programme delivery schedule and project progress reporting.
- Oversee client engagement and local project office management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide guidance on technical delivery.
- Manage project management systems and documentation.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and communications for the technical team.
- Ensure successful delivery of the assigned Scope of Works.
Skills
Education
The candidate will report to Design Director and will be responsible for managing project programme delivery schedule project progress reporting client engagement local project office management and fee collection.
He/she will be responsible for the success of the project from administrative and programme perspective. He/she will be responsible for stakeholder management. He/she is also responsible for closely working with the technical team and project delivery team ensuring compliance with respect to the contractual obligations as well as providing effective guidance on technical delivery to the project team as and when necessary.
Responsible for managing the setup of all project management systems and documents ensures technical staff are appointed and roles and responsibilities of each team member is well defined and reporting lines and communications is established. Responsible for successful delivery of the assigned Scope of Works from inception to final implementation including quality time cost and technical alignment with client sectors and procedures.
The incumbent will role model SJ values ethics and code of conduct and ensure all project delivery activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
Min. 20 years relevant experience in the field of programme and contract management for regional planning urban planning or development planning projects.
Must have experience in client and contractual management and stakeholder management
Must have experience in administering a contract/s for large scale planning projects.
The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Regional Planning/ Urban Planning/ Development Planning and an advanced degree in project management or PMP would be an advantage.
International experience working in the field of development planning in several countries preferably in the Gulf region.
Experience in implementation of master plans is required.
Experience in project leadership/ contractual management fee collection and conflict resolution.
Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English is a must
Willingness to relocate to Oman for the project duration
