Position: KBR is seeking a Lead HSE Engineer Technical based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Hold an Engineering degree.
- Have 20+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience with ADNOC standards, HSE design studies, HSEIA.
- Minimum of 6-8 years as an HSE Technical Manager in Oil & Gas projects.
- At least 5 years experience working as an HSE Technical Manager in Middle Eastern countries.
- Implement HSEIA processes, project procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
- Prefer experience with global EPC contractors or subcontractors.
- Demonstrate leadership to manage manpower on-site and ensure project progress.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, operations, and project disciplines on safety and risk studies.
- Familiarity with ADNOC HSE standards, AGES, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of international standards like API, EI, NFPA, IEC.
- Experience with ADNOC WMS and process safety software (PHAST, SAFETI, BowTie).
- Review and comment on safety documentation and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and safety initiatives.
- Review project deliverables for safety and risk management against ADNOC standards.
- Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and hazard studies.
- Ensure closure of safety-related issues in project registers per ADNOC requirements.
- Support hazard identification, risk evaluation, and compliance monitoring.
- Support remedial actions and monitor safety system performance.
- Conduct audits on safety implementations and control measures.
Additional Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering and 20+ years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas.
