Job description
- 4-5 years of experience in database administration which includes Greenplum, Postgres, Oracle & MS SQL.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, as Greenplum is based on PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and related tools.
- T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server security, encryption, and access controls.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, Big Data, or Data Warehousing is an added advantage.
- Expertise in query optimization, indexing strategies, and partitioning.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, or Hadoop for data integration.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
