This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Director to join our Engineering Hub in Sharjah, UAE.

Key Objectives
- Deliver safe and effective brownfield/greenfield projects across multiple facilities.
- Manage projects from Design to Handover, including all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Establish and lead project teams for delivery excellence.
- Ensure project safety, cost control, risk management, schedule, and stakeholder engagement.
- Deliver within the commercial framework, managing the Contract P&L.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Manage P&L, including revenue, margin, budgets, risks, and cash flow.
- Develop project proposals and plans, ensuring resource allocation and adherence to policies.
- Negotiate scope changes and follow change management processes.
- Drive innovation, digitalisation, and value engineering.
- Approve project procedures, scope, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Ensure team competence and monitor schedule, cost, and quality.
- Establish project management systems and assurance protocols.
- Lead HSSE initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Leadership
- Guide and direct large project teams, including external specialists.
- Model ethical behaviour and compliance.
- Empower team members to make decisions.
Working Relationships
Internal: Oversight of project teams, collaboration across business units.
External: Represent Wood externally, develop stakeholder relationships, manage external contractor relationships.
Decision-Making Authority
- Operate within high-level policies, influencing long-term profitability and results.
- Resolve complex issues with broad judgment and innovative solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering and/or MSc. in Project Management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM), or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- At least 25 years in the oil & gas industry, with 15+ years managing major projects over $50M.
- Extensive experience managing Lump Sum oil and gas projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Preferred experience in the Middle East.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, risk management, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of project success factors, contract management, and performance improvement.
