The Project Manager Buildings purpose is to be responsible for delivery for all aspects of capital works building projects delivery scope of works from contract kick off to project completion.

Operational Responsibilities

Ability to manage multiple buildings related works packages in parallel. Review of consultant and contractor IFC designs for any scope gaps technical issues or opportunities for improvement including VE Review of preconstruction documentation provided by the contractor including shop drawings material/ equipment submittals and samples quality plans and method statements. Track of contractor submissions technical procurement long lead items etc.. Assist in technical coordination meetings with consultants contractors and utility providers

Review of construction progress including schedules KPIs tracking and quality control/ auditing Manage interfaces on site with our projects/contracts and logistics requirements Review of all testing and commissioning activities and liaison with the programme Commissioning Authority. Support in preparing the close out strategy and review of documentation such as record drawings and O&M manuals provided by the contractor. Assist commercial team in valuation of works and change control. Assist in production of project reports. Provide reports to Senior Managers and Directors as necessary. Monitor and coordinate package contractors works on site. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Hold a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related degree Have a minimum of 10 years industry experience and have held a similar role for at least 8 years. Experience in large Community Development projects Discipline specific professional registration preferred (CIBSE IMechE MEIT PMP). Fluent in spoken and written English. Good Communication skills. Proactive approach to identification and resolution of issues. Good knowledge of Dubai Local authorities processes and approvals. Good knowledge of FIDIC forms of contracts. Have excellent technical knowledge of all facets of building construction including mid high rise and low rise developments Contracting background
