Job summary
A leading construction firm is looking for a Planning Engineer MEP to develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP works. The ideal candidate will coordinate with various teams, monitor project progress, and assist in delay analysis. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required along with extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project. Candidates with UAE/GCC experience in high-rise buildings will be preferred.
Qualifications
- 710 years in planning of MEP works, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience in high-rise buildings and commercial/infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules for MEP works.
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules.

Job Title: Planning Engineer MEP
Location: UAE
Experience Required: 710 years in planning of MEP works (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing & Fire Fighting) works using Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Coordinate with project managers site engineers and procurement teams to align project timelines and resource allocations
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and report delays variances and recovery plans
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports look-ahead programs and S-curves
- Update project timelines based on site progress and changes in scope
- Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis
- Identify critical paths and propose corrective actions to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with main contractors and consultants for approvals and progress tracking
- Support project cost control by aligning progress with billing milestones
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 MS Project and MS Excel
- Solid understanding of MEP systems and construction sequencing
- Experience in high-rise buildings commercial or infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical reporting and communication skills
- Knowledge of project management standards and practices (PMP certification is a plus)
