Cost Accountant
Job summary
A leading trading company in Dubai is seeking a Cost Accountant to develop and maintain cost accounting systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of experience in cost accounting. Responsibilities include analyzing manufacturing costs, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role offers exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in cost accounting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documents, and records.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze cost movements and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting with cost-related data.
- Evaluate and update standard costing periodically.
- Prepare cost statements, profit analysis, and management reports.
- Support inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

- Prepare cost statements, profit analysis, and management reports.
- Support inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / BBA).
1–3 years of experience in cost accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel & Tally, etc. and costing modules.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
