Job summary
A leading packaging solutions provider in Dubai is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the global packaging materials procurement portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management within the FMCG sector. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, driving procurement transformation, and ensuring compliance and process excellence, all aimed at driving innovation and growth in global operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience in procurement including Packaging Materials & Market Intelligence.
- At least 5 years in FMCG organization.
- Global experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging materials.
- Ensure full spending coverage through enhanced collaboration.
- Drive continuous supplier performance improvement.
- Contribute to procurement transformation programs.
- Enhance supplier selection and performance monitoring.
Skills
Education
oversee the global packaging materials procurement portfolio at IFFCO. This role is instrumental in driving procurement excellence, market intelligence, and transformation initiatives across our international operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and process optimization, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead Global Packaging Procurement:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging materials across all business units.
- Ensure full spending coverage (excluding Oils & Grain trading) through enhanced collaboration and streamlined processes.
- Deliver consistent cost savings and risk mitigation through supplier diversification and localization.
- Drive continuous supplier performance improvement, targeting high vendor rating compliance.
Procurement Transformation Initiatives:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of procurement transformation programs including Global Business Services (GBS).
- Build an integrated procurement framework covering strategic sourcing, backend support, P2P processes, and supply operations.
Compliance and Process Excellence:
- Standardize procurement processes to ensure compliance with (DOA).
- Collaborate with internal teams (IS, Risk & Compliance) to support SAP implementation and policy adherence.
- Enhance supplier selection and performance monitoring to improve service delivery and procurement productivity.
Topline Growth and Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify and execute growth opportunities through innovation and optimization.
- Organize Supplier Innovation Days and publish market intelligence reports for key commodities.
- Implement embedded risk management strategies and conduct market benchmarking for finished goods.
