An Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. This includes performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating renovation projects.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Managing maintenance issues within the hotel
• Performing daily checks around the hotel
• Conducting lift emergency release procedures as required
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment
• Building good relationships with internal and external customers
• Maintaining hotel fixtures and fittings in safe condition and addressing unsafe situations
• Developing and implementing emergency programs
• Managing energy conservation programs
• Coordinating renovation bidding, defining project scope and costs, overseeing contractors
• Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
• Ensuring the health and safety of the hotel
• Conducting monthly safety inspections and employee training

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate should:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (UAE Attested)
• Have advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
• Be committed to high-quality customer service
• Be flexible and able to respond to various work situations
• Work well under pressure and independently
• Have previous management experience

Additional advantageous capabilities include:

• First Aid certification
• Experience in the hospitality industry
• Vocational training in engineering or similar fields
