Operate and set up CNC machines (milling turning or grinding) to produce components as per technical drawings and specifications.
Select appropriate tools fixtures and materials to ensure accurate production.
Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Interpret and modify CNC programs to optimize machining processes.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to achieve project deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of production runs tooling usage and machine parameters.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Tool & Die Making or equivalent.
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar precision machining role.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fashanu/Siemens/Maidenhead or equivalent).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Expertise in using measuring tools such as micrometres callipers and gauges.
Knowledge of machine shop mathematics and G-code programming.
Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machining issues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
