Strategic General Ledger Accountant (UAE VAT & IFRS)
Job summary
A leading food service company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced accountant to manage general ledger maintenance and assist in financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 3–5 years of related experience. Familiarity with ERP systems and UAE tax laws, along with strong analytical and communication skills, is essential. The role involves reconciling accounts, supporting audits, and ensuring tax compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE tax laws.
- Proficient in ERP and accounting software.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, post, and reconcile general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing process.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records.
- Provide support during audits, ensuring all documentation is available.
