This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant located in Dubai, UAE. The accountant will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with UAE-specific regulations, and driving the company's financial strategies.
Kindly note that this is a senior-level, in-house position. The candidate will be solely responsible for managing the full accounting functions of our company and its branches.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, highly independent, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in accounting software is essential. Experience with systems such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Odoo is highly preferred, including involvement in setup, migration, and implementation.
This role operates independently and it requires a proactive, self-driven professional with exceptional organizational skills, strategic decision-making abilities, and a strong leadership mindset.
Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end financial accounting processes, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
• Prepare and issue proforma and tax invoices for clients in a timely manner.
• Oversee bank transfers, payments, payroll, and cash flow management
• Handle VAT compliance, including filing VAT returns, ensuring accurate calculations, and staying updated on UAE tax regulations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, including filings and audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process across all company entities.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. • Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Stay current with UAE-specific accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and tax laws to ensure full compliance. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is a plus).
• VAT and/or Corporate Tax (CT) certification is an advantage • Extensive knowledge of UAE VAT laws and Corporate Tax.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UAE-specific accounting and financial practices. • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel functions.
• Capable of leading the implementation and integration of new accounting systems
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement positive change to enhance operational efficiency
• Prior experience in a standalone accounting role, with full responsibility for financial operations.
• Leadership mindset, with the ability to take initiative, propose solutions, and drive results without direct oversight.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders, including external auditors and clients.
