The Staff Accountant position at MDD will have excellent analytical skills, a desire to work in a fast-paced work environment, as well as a genuine interest in pursuing a career in forensic accountant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
  • Physical inventory observation, price testing
  • Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
  • Checking and proofing reports and schedules
  • Conduct phone or in-person interviews to obtain information
  • Research, data extraction, analysis and interpretation
  • Attend marketing events and functions with clients
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Finance-related Degree/Masters graduate (Accounting related, advantageous)
  • Ideally, working towards an accounting designation (AC(C)A, CPA, CIMA, or UAECA)
  • Some accounting-related work experience (paid or otherwise), beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys working with data, tenacious in problem solving
  • Confident communication skills with ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team
  • Intermediate to advanced MS suite skills, particularly Excel
  • Fluent in business-English (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Arabic / other language, considered an asset
  • Ability to travel at short notice may be required
