Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Presale Consultant to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with prospective clients to understand their business needs, demonstrating the value of our data solutions, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process. The Data Presale Consultant will collaborate closely with the sales, product, and technical teams to deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and proof-of-concepts that address customer requirements and drive revenue growth.

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements related to data analytics and data management.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to develop customised presales strategies and solutions that align with customer needs and priorities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our data analytics solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients throughout the presales process, including solution design, architecture, and implementation considerations.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to stay informed about product roadmaps, features, and enhancements, and communicate customer feedback and requirements.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presales collateral, including presentations, proposals, case studies, and technical documentation, to support sales efforts and differentiate our offerings in the market.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFP/RFI responses and contribute to the development of competitive positioning and effort estimates based on SOW.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our data solutions, establish thought leadership, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and customer success, to drive alignment and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide support to Data Customers during the maintenance period (resolve issues/tickets raised)
  • Empower oneself with data-specific technology certifications.
  • personalised presale Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data analysis and seeking opportunities for professional development.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, or technical sales roles, preferably in the data analytics, business intelligence, or software industry.
  • Strong understanding of master data management, analytics, and visualisation technologies, including databases, data warehousing, ETL processes, BI tools, and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Products such as Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Fabric, Qlik / PowerBI and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that drive business value and competitive differentiation.
  • Results-oriented team player with a proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
