Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
Certification in Document Control (e.g., ISO 9001) or Project Planning (PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements related to CNG/energy projects is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Aconex, or similar EDMS.
Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or other scheduling tools.
Knowledge of ISO standards for document control.
Understanding of CNG/LNG project documentation requirements.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and contracts.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in document control and project planning, preferably in oil & gas, transportation, or construction.
Experience working with engineering documents, contracts, and project schedules.
Job Purpose:
The Document Controller & Planning Officer is responsible for ensuring the systematic management, storage, and retrieval of all project-related documents while supporting project planning activities. This role ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and efficient document flow across departments. Additionally, the officer assists in project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting to facilitate timely project execution.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize all project documentation (drawings, contracts, reports, permits, etc.) in both electronic and hard copy formats.
Ensure proper version control, naming conventions, and document classification.
Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and track approvals.
Manage access permissions and ensure data security.
Assist in developing project schedules using planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Monitor project timelines and update progress reports.
Coordinate with project managers and engineers to track milestones and deliverables.
Generate periodic reports on project status, delays, and corrective actions.
Ensure all documents comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and ISO procedures.
Conduct periodic audits to verify document accuracy and completeness.
Act as a liaison between project teams, contractors, and government authorities for document submissions.
