A Senior Camera Technician plays a crucial role in the film, television, and photography industries. As a Senior Camera Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of camera equipment through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Your role is critical in maintaining the high standards of production quality and assisting in the training and development of junior technicians. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure camera equipment functions optimally during productions.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in various camera systems with speed and accuracy.
• Manage and inventory all camera-related equipment and accessories efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with directors of photography to achieve desired shooting outcomes.
• Stay informed on the latest camera technologies and incorporate them into workflows.
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to develop their skills further.
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers for repairs and technical support when required.
• Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance and maintenance work carried out.
• Ensure all camera setups meet industry safety standards during operations.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of shooting equipment on location as needed.
• Develop protocols and best practices for camera maintenance and operation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a camera technician role.
• Proficient understanding of various professional camera systems and models.
• Strong problem-solving skills to tackle technical challenges efficiently.
• Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proven track record of successfully maintaining complex camera equipment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and work conditions.
