Job summary

A leading automotive company located in Dubai is seeking an experienced Painter to perform vehicle painting repairs. The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience, at least 2 years as a Painter, and strong adherence to safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess a 2-year ITI or a 3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include ensuring quality repairs, maintaining efficiency, and effective communication with the Team Leader regarding repairs and timelines.

Job description

Job Purpose

To carry out vehicle painting repairs in accordance with business standards, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Implementation

• Carry out painting jobs as per the repair order instructions and established standards.

• Complete assigned jobs within the allotted time.

• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards.

• Provide feedback to the Team Leader on any additional repair requirements.

• Inform the Team Leader/Foreman in advance of any delays in work.

• Perform overtime when required due to increased workshop workload, as requested by the Team Leader, Foreman, or Controller.

• Record paint materials issued against each job card accurately.

• Obtain approval from the Team Leader for any additional repairs.

• Ensure materials issued on job cards are used for the respective vehicle only.

Customer Journey

• F1 – Fix It Right First Time.

• Handle customer vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.

Learning & Growth

• Ensure protective covers are used on customer vehicles at all times.

• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

• Use protective masks and safety equipment during paint repairs.

• Keep overalls and safety shoes clean and in good condition.

Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Governance

• Ensure workshop safety procedures and SOP requirements are strictly followed, including the proper use of safety gear for personal safety, equipment safety, and customer vehicle protection.

Educational Qualification

• 2-year ITI in Automobile, or

• 3-year Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a dealership environment, with at least 2 years’ experience as a Painter.

Competencies

• Physical fitness to carry out repair work.

• Basic computer literacy.

Languages

• English (working proficiency preferred).
