Job Title: Industrial Technician

Role Overview
The Industrial Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operations. The role involves working closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, operate, inspect, and maintain industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment as per operational requirements.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
- Support production teams by responding promptly to equipment-related issues and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts usage records.
- Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of new machinery.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and vendors for repairs, spare parts, and technical support.
Essential Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands‑on experience as an Industrial Technician in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments.
- Experience working with industrial machinery, production equipment, and automated systems.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment efficiently.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, and control systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
- Good problem‑solving, analytical, and time‑management skills.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.
