A leading HR consultancy in South Africa is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager/Officer to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with labour legislation. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in payroll management, strong attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of South African tax regulations. Proficiency in payroll systems like Pastel Payroll or Sage VIP is essential. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with HR and finance teams to manage payroll effectively.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager & Payroll Officer to manage accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring compliance with South African labour and tax legislation with our clients.
- 3 - 5 years process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SARS, UIF, SDL, and BCEA regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile employee records, leave, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare payroll reports, tax submissions, and statutory filings.
- Liaise with HR and finance teams regarding payroll matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislative changes.
- Proven experience in payroll management within South Africa.
- Knowledge of South African labour laws and tax regulations.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Pastel Payroll, Sage VIP, PaySpace, or SAP.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Relevant payroll or HR qualification is advantageous.
