This role involves financial modelling, market research, investment analysis, and deal execution within a dynamic, Pan-African investment environment. The analyst will work closely with regional teams, industry partners, and stakeholders to support high-quality investment decisions.
- Conduct market research and identify potential investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models and valuations in MS Excel for project finance and growth equity deals.
- Assist in the negotiation, execution, monitoring, and exit of portfolio investments.
- Prepare investment reports, deal papers, and presentations.
- Work with large datasets to generate insights for investment decision‑making.
- Collaborate with the investment team on strategic direction and market positioning.
- Continuously develop expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure, and resource efficiency investments.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, valuations, project finance, or private equity.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills in Excel.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy infrastructure, growth equity, or expansion capital investments.
- Experience with investment documentation, deal structuring, and risk assessment.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA, CFA, CA, or Master's in Finance or similar).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (French is a plus).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to a high‑performance team.
- Willingness to travel internationally for deal execution and investor meetings.
