Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Polokwane, South Africa, is looking for an Entry-Level Emergency Care Practitioner. The role involves delivering critical care in an emergency context, overseeing emergency call operations, and administering patient care. Applicants should have a Bachelor of Technology in Emergency Medical Care. This full-time position requires proficiency in English and knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications
- Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience required.
- Completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operational readiness for emergency calls.
- Administer patient care according to scope of practice.
- Provide emergency services to clients on site.

Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
Administer patient care in line with scope of practice.
Provide professional emergency services to site-based clients.
Provide basic shift administration services.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION : Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor of Emergency Medical Care.
Completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa is advantageous.
If not compliant at the time of application, this training will be required during the probation period for successful candidates.
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience.
Previous EMS Operational experience.
Facilities, travel routes and demographic area.
Application of best practice.
Comprehensive completion of Patient Report Forms.
EMS environment.
Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Mine Health and Safety Act.
Codes of Practice within Mine Health and Safety Act.
Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.
