Job summary
A retail company in Johannesburg is seeking a highly organised Junior Logistics Coordinator to support daily logistics operations and shipment coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain, with at least 3 years' experience in logistics coordination. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential for effective cross-team interactions and timely updates. This role offers a dynamic work environment focused on detail-oriented logistics management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics coordination or administration.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and data systems.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update container trackers, costing files, and logistics reports.
- Support shipment coordination, booking schedules, and delivery planning.
- Liaise with importers and service providers to ensure smooth communication.
- Manage logistics documentation and records efficiently.
- Track and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and service commitments.
- Assist in resolving shipment or process-related issues promptly.
