Job summary

A leading logistics company in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead strategic projects and enhance operational excellence across its service centre. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations and a relevant qualification in Operations Management. Responsibilities include managing improvement projects, overseeing new systems rollouts, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to drive change.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years’ experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience managing operational projects or leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse optimization and WMS functionality.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operational improvement projects across service centres and warehousing.
  • Oversee the rollout of new systems and processes.
  • Drive optimization of workflows and warehouse layout.
  • Conduct operational analysis for cost savings.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with managers to resolve operational challenges.
  • Manage relationships and performance of key service providers.
  • Lead initiatives on health & safety improvements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects.
  • Support capacity planning and forecasting.
