Job summary
A cruise line is seeking a Lighting Technician to conduct maintenance and repairs on lighting equipment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the Entertainment Department for shows. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 2 years of experience, and extensive knowledge of lighting systems. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lighting Technician in a professional setting.
- Extensive knowledge of lighting equipment, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all lighting equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with lighting equipment.
- Collaborate with the Entertainment Department to implement lighting for shows.
Skills
Education
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all lighting equipment, including fixtures, cables, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with lighting equipment in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the Entertainment Department to design and implement lighting for shows, events, and performances On Board Cruise Ship
- Maintain inventory of lighting equipment and supplies, and assist with ordering new equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards for lighting equipment
- Train and supervise junior lighting technicians as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in lighting technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lighting Technician in a professional setting
- Extensive knowledge of lighting equipment, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
