Finance Manager (Based in Tanzania)

Location: The successful candidate for this role will be based in Tanzania.

The Role: We are looking for a motivated professional to join us in the capacity of Finance Manager, based in West Kilimanjaro.

In this role, you will be reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Financial Controller TMEA (Turkey, Middle East & Africa) region and work pro-actively with our Regional Leadership Team, staff, and other stakeholders to advance and maintain our program of continuous improvement of our financial management and accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
2. Support month-end and year-end close process.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Support new projects' financial projections.
5. Capex application, preparation and spending control (project management).
6. Support managers with business information to the decision-making process.
7. KPI and Cost control analysis.
8. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
9. Improve the quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
10. Coordinate to comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
11. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Job Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience in finance.
2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
3. Bachelor's in Accountancy or related field.
4. Registered member of NBAA (CPA Holder).
5. Understanding of poultry operations is preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of Excel, Great Plains.
7. Any ERP experience is an added advantage.
8. Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills.
9. Detail-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize work-flow and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Willing to work late hours when deadlines need to be met.
11. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
12. Experience in an international company is an added advantage.
13. The ability to work autonomously.
14. Have an engaging personality with the ability to relate to a wide range of people.
15. Fluent in English.
