A leading analytics firm in South Africa is seeking a Senior Analytics Contractor to deliver high-quality reporting and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will possess advanced PowerBI expertise and a strong background in analytics, capable of translating complex data into clear visual formats. This role, which operates in a hybrid working environment, requires excellent communication and project management skills, aiming to elevate analytical capabilities within the organization.

This role is ideally for a senior practitioner who can hit the ground running.
The successful contractor will be required to deliver high-quality analytics and reporting at speed, and build advanced visualisation tools for Key stakeholders (executive and higher level) of our Client.
As a senior resource, the contractor will report to the divisional head and will have a pivotal role in elevating reporting, analytics, and visualisation capability.
In addition to advanced PowerBI specialist, requirements include : Strong technical depth, creative design ability, and the maturity to work independently while collaborating across business units.
This role requires speed, accuracy, strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of modern data flows, particularly within financial services.
Qualification requirements : A Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Intelligence, etc.
Experience required : Advanced PowerBI development experience is required (5–10+ years).
Experience delivering high-quality dashboard design, reporting systems, and data modelling.
PowerBI expert-level proficiency.
Strong understanding of ETL / data flows and automation tools.
Ability to translate complex data into visually compelling outputs.
Strong project management and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
High attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving.
A strong portfolio demonstrating past work.
Advantageous :
Alteryx, AWS Glue, etc.
Python, R, SQL, etc.
AI features in PowerBI, machine learning or predictive modelling, etc.
Financial services and customer analytics.
