Job summary

A leading insurance provider in South Africa is seeking an Accountant to manage month to month accounting functions and ensure accuracy in reporting for Life bank and Investment accounts. The ideal candidate has a Bcomm (Finance) degree and 1-2 years of experience in a finance environment. Responsibilities include capturing accounts, preparing reconciliations, and collaborating with teams and auditors for effective financial management. Opportunities for growth in a dynamic work environment are offered.

Qualifications

  • Matric.
  • At least 1 - 2 years of working experience within a finance environment.
  • Completed Degree in Bcomm (Finance) from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for month to month accounting functions.
  • Capturing all Life bank accounts into the ledger.
  • Collaborate with all teams within Discovery and Auditors.
  • Managing multiple deadlines relating to the requirements/demands of the role.

Skills

Knowledge of changes in Accounting Standards
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
Intermediate proficiency in MS Outlook
