Key Responsibilities:

1. Full financial function of multiple statutory entities
2. Preparation of consolidated Management Accounts in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
3. Cashflow reporting and forecasting
4. Preparation of consolidated Statement of Financial Position with audit files
5. Ensure accuracy of journal capturing
6. Update income tax and deferred tax calculations
7. Manage accuracy of fixed asset register
8. Collate financial reports for business management
9. Monthly reporting to executive committee
10. Analyze financial results of business units/cost centres against budgets
11. Investigate and corroborate variances
12. Reconciliation & submission of VAT and PAYE returns
13. Liaise with SARS/tax practitioners on tax issues
14. Responsible for year-end audit with external auditors
15. Manage creditors reconciliations and payments
16. Review and approve all payments
17. Review cash cycle & bank reconciliations
18. Liaise with banks on financing/banking issues
19. Liaise with franchisor
20. Coordinate and plan annual budget process
21. Perform ad hoc tasks from CFO

People Management:

1. Manage team of >10 accountants
2. Manage three-member creditors team
3. Provide leadership and structure
4. Coach and mentor team members
5. Conduct performance evaluations

Qualifications:

1. B Comm degree or equivalent
2. Completed Articles (SAICA / SAIPA)
3. Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS), GAAP advantageous
4. Experience with Evolution or similar accounting packages
5. Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
8. Proactive, problem-solving, and team-oriented mindset
9. Strong leadership experience
10. South African Resident, fluent in English
