Job summary

A leading logistics company in Johannesburg seeks a Warehouse Administrator. Responsibilities include inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining safety protocols. Job Brief

The Warehouse Administrator will report to the Financial Manager. The person will be responsible for Inventory Management inclusive of receipting inventory, organising inventory counts and managing the dispatch of all outgoing shipments. The role will also be required to execute some administrative tasks.

Your tasks
  • Inventory Management
  • Correct stock keeping followed by the 5S rules (Sort Straighten Shine Standardise Sustain)
  • Oversee inventory levels ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient utilisation of space
  • Monitor stock and parts movement track incoming and outgoing goods and maintain proper documentation for Customers and Service Department
Goods Handling
  • Receive:
    • Inspect
    • Organise incoming shipments or returned items
    • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to manage stock replenishment
  • Order Fulfilment:
    • Process customer orders promptly and accurately
    • Ensure timely picking packing and dispatch of goods
    • Responsibility for creation of outbound deliveries
  • Quality Control
Warehouse Safety
  • Enforce safety protocols for staff and equipment
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards
Reporting and Documentation
  • Generate reports on inventory levels order fulfilment and warehouse performance
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements
  • Annual Stock count and regular cycle count management
  • Monitor work of casual workers
  • Single point of contact to forwarders
Required skills and qualifications
  • 5 years experience in warehouse and inventory controlling
  • Diploma in supply chain management logistics or business operations
  • Understanding operational procedures relating to warehousing and distribution
  • Good communication skills
  • ERP experience (SAP B1 beneficial)
  • Basic Accounting / Finance knowledge (qualification in this field beneficial)
  • Valid drivers licence (Forklift licence beneficial)
