Job description

As a UX/UI Designer at Accenture South Africa, you will contribute to the creation and delivery of user‑centred digital products. You will focus on executing design solutions that meet user needs, align with business goals, and work seamlessly with technology. This role is hands‑on, involving research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. You will gain exposure to product strategy, design systems, and emerging technologies, building the foundation for a career in product design.

Responsibilities & Activities
Design Execution
  • Produce high‑quality UX and UI deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs.
  • Apply established design systems and contribute to their evolution to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and developers.
User Research & Insights
  • Assist in conducting user research, such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to understand user behaviours and needs.
  • Analyse research findings and support the creation of personas, journey maps, and other user‑centred artifacts.
  • Benchmark competitors and industry best practices to inform design decisions.
Interaction & Visual Design
  • Define information architecture, user flows, and interaction models for clear and intuitive experiences.
  • Develop low‑to‑mid‑fidelity wireframes and translate them into polished UI designs.
  • Build interactive prototypes to test concepts and gather feedback from users and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and other designers to deliver features that meet business and user needs.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, providing design input to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to peers and stakeholders in a clear, engaging manner.
  • Support team knowledge sharing by documenting design decisions and contributing to case studies or design showcases.
Testing & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist with usability testing and A/B testing to validate design solutions.
  • Apply insights from data, user feedback, and testing to improve product experiences.
  • Stay current with UX/UI trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve skills and practice.
Job Requirements
  • 4+ years in UX, UI, and product design, ideally in consultancy or digital product environments.
  • Tertiary qualification in Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with Figma, prototyping tools and the MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of user‑centred design principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Strong visual design and interaction design skills, with attention to detail.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design work, problem‑solving, and execution across UX and UI.
  • Good collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and growth‑oriented mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt.
