About the Job: Temp Bookkeeper

Temporary Bookkeeper 3-Month Contract (Humansdorp)

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client in Humansdorp for a 3-month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will be able to take the books up to Trial Balance and provide reliable accounting support to ensure smooth financial operations during this period.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily transactions, invoices, and payments accurately.
• Reconcile bank statements, debtors, and creditors.
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare Trial Balance.
• Assist with month-end reporting and ad-hoc accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Matric with a Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience.
• Must be able to take books to Trial Balance independently.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, or Xero).
• Available immediately and able to commit to the full 3-month contract.
• Based in or near Humansdorp (or able to commute daily).
